Let the Music Play

Having a reliable way to connect with your audience is the best way to engage with and grow your fanbase. Unfortunately, the traditional social media algorithm incentivizes viral content over genuine connection.

At Fanhouse, we believe you shouldn’t have to go viral to reach your top fans.

Today, on Fanhouse’s second birthday, we are proudly launching a new service called Fanhouse for Musicians: a bundle of features built over the last few months specifically for artists.

Since Fanhouse started, we’ve had thousands of creators successfully use our platform to build their community and support themselves financially. Fanhouse for Musicians complements the parts of Fanhouse that already work great for other creators and combines them with three new features we designed in collaboration with musicians and their super fans.

1. Alternative Access

The first feature is our alternative access methods, which lets you gather your top fans in one place without the classic Fanhouse subscription fee.

Fans can now access your Fanhouse either by using a secret passcode or by being one of your top listeners on Spotify.

With the secret passcode, you can share a custom code with your top fans (shouting it out at a concert, perhaps) that grants them access to your Fanhouse for free.

Alternatively, if your fans connect their Spotify to their Fanhouse and we see that you're one of their Top 50 artists on Spotify, they can have free access to your community.

To learn more about how to activate any of these alternative paywalls for your Fanhouse, check out this blog post.

2. Listen Goals

Listen goals_cover-1

It’s hard to achieve your stream goals — an Instagram story disappears in 24 hours and tweets get buried in minutes. We fixed that by creating the second Fanhouse for Musicians feature: listen goals.

To create a listen goal, pick one of your songs on Spotify, how many streams you’re trying to hit, and we’ll handle the rest. Fanhouse will generate an in-app, collaborative way for your fans to work together to hit your goal. We'll also track who participated so you can acknowledge and celebrate the fans streaming your songs.

3. Community Information Sharing

Finally, we built a feature that will help you continue to connect with your fans even after you log out of the app. Whenever a fan joins your Fanhouse, they’ll have the ability to opt into community information sharing.

The next time you want to send an email blast (let’s say for pre-sale tickets), you can export your fans' contact list, which includes your fans' Fanhouse usernames and emails. Let the pre-sales roll in!
