If you're reading this, you're probably following a Twitch streamer testing out a beta feature on Fanhouse.
This feature offers free Fanhouse subscriptions to a creator's paying Twitch subscribers. Pretty cool, right?
How to set this up as a fan:
- Make sure that you're subscribed to the creator on Twitch.
- Make a Fanhouse account at fanhouse.app.
- Link your Twitch account to your Fanhouse account. This is how we check that your Twitch account and your Fanhouse account belong to the same person.
- Click on the profile icon in the top right corner and hit Settings.
- On the Settings page, navigate to Integrations → Linked accounts. Click on the Link Twitch Account button.
- Navigate to the creator's Fanhouse page on the Fanhouse website. You will see a pop-up inviting you to join the creator's Fanhouse for free.
Note that this feature is not yet supported on the app. You have to do this from the Fanhouse website.
FAQ
Q: Can I claim this free subscription if I'm already subscribed to the creator on Fanhouse?
A: No, this is aimed at fans who are subscribed to a streamer on Twitch but are not already subscribed to the creator on Fanhouse.
Q: I'm on the creator's Fanhouse page but I don't see the pop-up. What's going on?
A: There are a few things that might be happening. Double check that:
- You have linked your Twitch account to your Fanhouse account. Scroll back up to Step 3 to learn how to do this.
- You are looking at the creator's Fanhouse profile on the Fanhouse website. This feature is in beta and is not supported on the app yet.
- You are a paying subscriber to the creator's Twitch. Free followers are not eligible for this benefit.
- Your browser does not have a pop-up blocker enabled.
- The creator you are trying to follow is enrolled in this beta program. If they've never talked about it, they're probably not part of the beta program.
Q: So can I just join the creator’s Fanhouse and never spend money?
A: If you want, you never have to spend anything. But Fanhouse is a 90/10 payout platform whereas Twitch is a 50/50 platform. This means that when you tip a creator on Fanhouse, they get to take home 90% of it, which is way more than the 50% they can take home from Twitch!
Q: I had access to a creator's Fanhouse through my Twitch subscription but I just lost access to the Fanhouse. What happened?
A: Double check that you are still a paying subscriber to your Twitch streamer.
