How to switch access methods

Fanhouse offers two distinct methods — a subscription paywall and a secret passcode — for fans to access their favorite creators' feeds. Read on to learn how to switch your access method.

Switching from secret passcode to paywall

1. From your Fanhouse feed, click on your Profile picture and navigate to your Creator Portal.
2. Under Profile and subscriptions, click Access method.
3. Check the button next to Paywall.

Why would I want to switch from secret passcode to paywall?

Some creators find the extra income they generate with the paywall is enough to warrant the switch!

What should I set as my subscription price?

Subscription prices vary depending on the creator. The average price is around $5, but we’ve seen some creators with $15 paywalls. The choice is yours!

2. Under Profile and subscriptions, click Access method.
3. Check the button next to Secret Passcode.
4. Fill out the form to confirm your switch from paywall to secret passcode!

Why would I want to switch from paywall to secret passcode?

Some fans find the paywall to be too big of a barrier to join even their favorite creator’s Fanhouse. The secret passcode wall eliminates that barrier and makes your Fanhouse more accessible to your fans. For more information about secret passcodes, check out this post.

Can I still monetize within Fanhouse without the paywall?

You can still monetize within your Fanhouse using features like locked posts, locked messages, and tip goals.
