Getting Started as a Creator (Part 2) — Setting up a secret passcode account

This guide will walk you through setting up a secret passcode creator account for the first time.

Once you follow these steps, your creator account will be set up and you can share your secret passcode with your fans so that they can join your Fanhouse.

How to set up a secret passcode

1. If you’re a fan account looking to become a creator account, click on your profile picture on the top right and click on Creator Portal.

2. Read through the Terms of Service and Guidelines. Select I acknowledge all of the above, and click Start.

   

3. Click Verify identity. This will take you to a third-party website hosted by Stripe. In this step, you will be asked to show:

   • A driver’s license, a passport, or an identity card

   • A selfie.

4. Set your secret passcode and click Set passcode.
   
   This is a special word that your fans can use to access your Fanhouse’s Private Wall for free.
   
   You can make it anything you want (ie. your favorite color, a nickname, or just some random word). Just be sure it’s something you’re comfortable sharing with your fans. You can always change this passcode later.

   

5. Click Link payment method. This will take you back to a third-party website hosted by Stripe. For this step, you’ll need either your bank account information or your debit card information.

We ask secret passcode creators to set up their payment method even if they do not plan on monetizing. Your fans can still tip you and we want to make sure that money ends up the right place!
