Creator Spotlight: @SuppyColleen

We sat down with SuppyColleen to chat about her success as a creator on Fanhouse.

This interview has been lightly edited for length and clarity.

FH: Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with us today. Tell us about yourself! How did you get started making content on Fanhouse?

SC: My name is Colleen, and I am 22 and mostly on Instagram and Twitch! I was unfairly banned on Twitch in January 2021 (thankfully I have my channel back now). During the beginning of my ban, @jasminericegirl introduced me to Fanhouse and I have been posting about my daily life since.

At first, I was really stressed about my future. I was in school and I honestly didn't really know what I wanted to do so I didn't enroll back in 2022. I moved to LA and still think about going back but for now, I am just trying to stream every day on Twitch!

FH: What kind of content do you post on Fanhouse?

SC: On Fanhouse, I post things I'm doing throughout the day. So if I'm going out to go eat, I post pictures of my food and cute places. I take pictures of everything. It's really just [a place for] all my extra selfies, fit pictures, just pictures that I try to take everywhere and let [my fans] know what I’m doing.

FH: What originally drove you to to start making more casual lifestyle content?

SC: I feel like I was not active on any other social media. I just feel if I post [photos on Instagram] that aren't "amazing" pics, people [will] just unfollow. So that's why I like Fanhouse — [it's] really casual and chill. It’s a great way for people to see more of your life. I'm able to post anything on Fanhouse, compared to my other socials.

FH: Got it. What is it about other socials, like Instagram, that feels not as casual?

SC: I just feel like … I have to make sure [my Instagram photos] look amazing and perfect. But on Fanhouse, it's more personal. People are just there for you and they don't really care what you post like as long as you’re just sharing things about your life.

FH: If you could rewind back to the first time that you were making your Fanhouse account and tell your former self and anything, what would you say?

SC: Definitely just keep responding to DMs. That's so important. And just really being active as much as you can and trying to build a better relationship with your subscribers.

I [also] think what I'm trying to do and what I would give other people advice [to do] is... to keep shouting out Fanhouse on your other platforms. People in Fanhouse already known you’re on Fanhouse, but a lot of people still don't know what it is. If you keep telling them like what you do on Fanhouse and how much extra stuff is on there, I think that's the best way to get more people.

FH: Have you found that that Fanhouse has been a decent way to kind of like make money outside of streaming?

SC: Oh, for sure. Yeah. When I couldn't stream for almost two years, Fanhouse was so amazing. And that's why I wasn't too stressed. I do have my Twitch, but knowing Fanhouse has my back has helped out a lot.

FH: Did you kind of foresee when you first joined Fanhouse that it would help out so much or that it would be that successful?

SC: Oh no, I had no idea. I was thinking it would probably just give me enough just to like, live. But it's given me enough to live and more… to save a good amount!

FH: What's the most meaningful thing that being on Fanhouse has brought you?

SC: Hmmm, I think knowing there are people who really care about me! My community as a whole is honestly so nice and supportive. I have received a lot of kind and thoughtful messages that I would have never thought of myself and it's nice to know that I am loved. :D
