Fanhouse for Twitch Streamers

Written by Fanhouse | January 19, 2023

Did you know that Fanhouse offers a number of features to support Twitch streamers, including:

  1. A “LIVE” indicator to let your Fanhouse fans know when you’re streaming.
  2. An OBS/Streamlabs overlay for your stream that alerts whenever someone joins your Fanhouse.

This tutorial will show you how to get these two features set up! 🔨

1. Live Indicator
  1. Log into your Fanhouse account.
  2. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner and hit Settings.
  3. On the Settings page, navigate to IntegrationsLinked accounts. Click on the Link Twitch Account button.

  4. Follow the instructions in the pop up and Authorize Fanhouse.

Your Twitch has been linked with your Fanhouse account! Your fans will automatically see a LIVE indicator when you start streaming.

2. OBS / Streamlabs Overlay
  1. Open your Fanhouse account.
  2. Go to Creator PortalThird-party integrationsOBS / Streamlabs.
  3. Click on the Generate a new link button. Do not navigate away from this page.
  4. Open OBS. Click on SourcesAdd SourceBrowser. Name your new source and hit OK.
  5. Copy the generated link from Fanhouse and paste it in the URL field. Change the width to 500 and the height to 700. Hit OK.

  6. To verify that you’ve set up the stream overlay correctly, go back to Fanhouse and hit Send test alert.

If you’ve set it up correctly, you should see an overlay that says “A test user just subscribed to my Fanhouse!”

When you stream, the alert will fire no matter how the fan joined your Fanhouse (via subscription, secret passcode, free invite etc.)
