All about Fanhouse Monetization Features

Untitled (58)

So, you’re looking to make money on Fanhouse! This guide will walk you through all of Fanhouse’s monetization features.

Before you get started, make sure your account is set up correctly
  1. Go to your Creator Portal and make sure you’ve set up your Stripe account.

Most creators complete this step when they are creating their Fanhouse account for the first time. If you do not see a checklist, you’re all set!
  2. Make sure that your account payout is active. You can check under your Creator Portal.

If this isn’t active, Fanhouse cannot pay you.

  1. Subscriptions

If you’ve set up a creator account with a paywall, your fans pay a monthly subscription to access your Fanhouse.

If you’d like to check whether you have a paywall set up, or if you’d like to change your subscription settings, go to Creator Portal → Profile and subscriptions → Access method.

There is also a multi-month subscription feature which you can enable, which offers a 3-month subscription at a 10% discount.

Restricted Monetization Features

To prevent fraud and harassment, we restrict certain monetization options for new creators until they reach five fans in their Fanhouse. Here are the monetization features creators unlock after they are unrestricted. For more information about creator restriction, check out this guide.

  1. Locked Posts

Locked posts are a great way to monetize your content within your private feed on your Fanhouse. Locked posts support text, photo, audio, and video content.

For step by step instructions, check out this guide on locked posts.

  2. Locked Messages

Locked messages are messages containing text, photo, audio, or video content sent directly to your fans that are locked behind a paywall.

Locked messages come in the form of regular locked messages and mass locked messages:

    • Regular locked messages are standard locked messages that you can send individually to a single fan.
    • Mass locked messages are locked messages that are sent to a number of fans at the same time (but still show up in their inbox as a single message from you).

For step by step instructions, check out this guide on locked messages.

  3. Custom Requests

Fanhouse is one of the only creator platforms that offers custom requests, which allow fans to pick and choose requests for creators to fulfill from a given list of options.

For step by step instructions, check out this guide on custom requests.
